When Russia carried out sweeping restrictions on gambling this month, closing thousands of casinos and slots parlors, their owners grasped at a small loophole. Poker was legally classified as a sport, giving some the prospect of curbing their losses by becoming private poker clubs.

This week, though, the Kremlin essentially said not so fast.

Russian officials announced that an error was made in 2007 when poker was added to the list of official sports. As a result, poker clubs will also be illegal under the antigambling law.

The ban, which took effect on July 1, was promoted by Vladimir V. Putin, the former president and current prime minister, who said casinos and slots parlors had proliferated in post-Soviet Russia and were a social blight.

And in a move that at times seems to have taken on almost farcical overtones, the Kremlin has offered the gambling industry only one option for survival: relocate to four regions in remote areas of Russia, as many as 4,000 miles from the capital. The potential marketing slogans — Come to the Las Vegas of Siberia! Have a Ball near the North Korean Border! — may not sound inviting, but that is in part what the government envisions.

All the same, none of the four regions are prepared for the transfer, and no casino is expected to reopen for several years. As of July 1, not even two decades after casinos began proliferating here in the free-for-all post-Soviet era, the industry’s workers will be out on the street.

Reuters reported dead of Michael Jackson

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pop giant Michael Jackson, who took to the stage as a child star and went on to set the world dancing to the thumping rhythms of his music for decades, died Thursday, TMZ website reported. He was 50.
"We've just learned Michael Jackson has died," TMZ said.

"Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back," the entertainment site said.

There was no official confirmation of the reported death and spokespersons for Jackson could not be reached for comment.

Earlier, the Los Angeles Times said that the singer had been rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital by fire department paramedics who found him not breathing when they arrived at the singer's home.

The newspaper said paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene before taking him to the UCLA Medical Center hospital.

Jackson had been due to start a series of comeback concerts in London on July 13 running until March 2010. The singer, whose hits include "Thriller" and "Billie Jean," had been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the past two months.

The shows for the 50 London concerts sold out within hours of going on sale in March.

10. Splashing the pot
Phillips says that this can happen accidentally, but if the same player does it more than couple times she knows he or she is doing it on purpose. "Look, we realize that the chips are round," she says. "They can roll or take a funny bounce and it happens sometimes. But you can tell when a player is doing it on purpose and it's just a very rude thing to do."

9. Eating at the table
Harris, a 31-year-old native of Harlem who moved to Las Vegas to become a dealer in 2005, knows what it's like to be stuck at a poker table for hours upon hours. He realizes that people need to eat. But if you do decide to snack or have your lunch at the table, choose your food wisely and have a napkin. "It's probably not a good idea to eat fries or anything else that's greasy," he says. "First off, it gets on the cards and chips and that gets everyone pissed off. Then you gotta remember that the chips and cards aren't very clean to begin with. So it's probably not a good idea to eat finger foods because of all the germs. If you have to eat, try and eat something that you down with a fork."

8. Making string bets
Phillips explains that there are times when it's OK to go back to your chip pile more than once, especially if you verbally announce your bet before making a move. But for the most part it's probably a good idea to push your chips onto the table all at once just to be on the safe side. "Every dealer should be able to recognize a string bet," Phillips says. "Not only is it unethical, but it's against the rules and it can cost you."

"This is a major no-no," Harris says with a laugh. "But people do it all the time." Harris said the main culprits here are players who are either used to online poker or play a lot of home games rather than at a casino. "They don't know any better," he says. "But usually the first time they do it and they're told not to do it again, they listen. It's understandable, but it's something you shouldn't do."

Phillips says that it's in the Tournament Director Association rules that you can't show your cards when the action is still live at the table. And even though it's not against the rules to show your hole cards when the action is dead, it's still not a good idea. "I'm a poker player as well as a dealer and I just don't see any advantage to showing anyone what you were holding unless you have to," she adds.

The story begins in 2003. Absolute Poker’s software is in development and many test accounts are created to make sure the program is working correctly. One of these test accounts, known as account #363, can see the hole cards at any table. This test account can not be used to play in real money games, it is only used for development purposes to see that pots are distributed correctly. The id number of this account being #363 is important because this tells us that this was one of the first accounts ever opened in AbsolutePoker, making it very likely the person in control of this account is someone with intimate ties with the company (owner, founder, employee, programmer, shareholder, etc.)

Follow with me to the opening of Absolute Poker. Four people in different parts of the United States open up accounts at Absolute Poker. These four individuals do not know each other. The names in question are Graycat, Steamroller, DoubleDrag, and Potripper. They play in Absolute Poker for a bit, but they don’t do well and their accounts are not logged into for many months. These are actual and real players, they are not fake players, they do not know each other, and they are not cheaters.

Key moment in the development of Absolute Poker: a major software upgrade is in process in 2007. The company hires programmers from many areas, including Costa Rica. Our villain in this scandal comes across the test account #363 with hole card access. Visions of big money flash in front of his eyes as he envisions hacking his way to big casino cash. He hatches a plan.

He finds inactive accounts at Absolute Poker and changes the password to these accounts at the server level. He opens test account 363 at a separate computer which allows him to see all the hole cards at the table. He then gets family and friends to cash out his winnings to. The way he does this is after he gets a big amount of cash at the poker tables, he plays against his relatives and buddies and loses all his cash to them. DoubleDrag loses to Reymnaldo, Graycat loses to SupercardM55, and Steamroller and Potripper lose to other various friend and family controlled accounts.

Problematic slot machine leads to $46M lawsuit

Canada's Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. is being sued for $45.9 million by a man who claims he was denied a $42.9 million slot machine prize.

Pawel Kusznirewicz, 55, claims in his suit the Buccaneer slot machine he played on last December at an OLG-run casino north of Toronto lit up and told him he'd won the huge prize.

Instead, he was told the machine had malfunctioned and he was offered dinner for four instead, the Toronto Sun reported.

For $42 million, a four-person buffet? You got to be kidding, Kusznirewicz told the Sun, adding he didn't accept the offer.

In response, an OLG spokeswoman said the maximum jackpot the Buccaneer machines pay is $9,025 and there was an error message on the screen Kusznirewicz was playing.

Bottom line is the machine malfunctioned, this was not a winning play, the machine goes nowhere close to those astronomical figures that are being quoted, spokeswoman Allison Sparkes told the Sun.

The OLG said provincial rules regarding malfunctions were followed and such warnings are posted on every slot machine in the province.

Battle in Kentucky won!

In a 2-1 decision, the Kentucky Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that the state could not seize 141 online gambling domains because domain names are not gambling devices under Kentucky law.

The ruling overturns an October decision made by Franklin County Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate that asserted online gambling domains could be seized by the state because online gambling domains constituted illegal gambling devices that were prohibited by Kentucky law.

Among the sites targeted by Kentucky were PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker, Bodog and Slotocash.

Late Wednesday, J. Michael Brown, the secretary of the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, announced Kentucky would appeal Tuesday's decision.

"The Commonwealth will continue its action to protect Kentucky citizens from illegal internet gambling operations, and appeal the recent Court of Appeals ruling to the state Supreme Court," Brown said. "The evidence demonstrated that illegal and unregulated activity is occurring in Kentucky, and that millions of dollars are being lost as a result of that activity, a fact that wasn't disputed in Tuesday's ruling. We now have two judges who agree with our position, and two who disagree, so the most appropriate step is to make our case to the higher court."

While Kentucky officials were promising an appeal, the online gambling industry was celebrating a rare legal victory.

UltimateBet Awards Phil Hellmuth $5,600 Pot For Losing a Hand

Tokwiro Enterprises must be thrilled that 2008 is about to come to an end. As if the cheating scandals at its online poker rooms Absolute Poker and UltimateBet, as well as the associated national media coverage they received, weren’t enough, the company has now had to deal with another explosive situation that occurred this weekend.

Saturday morning, eleven-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, the most visible spokesperson for UltimateBet, was playing in a $200/$400 heads-up limit hold’em game on the site when he got caught in a bluff, losing a hand with a sizable pot. The odd thing was, although he lost the hand and the software mucked his cards, Hellmuth was awarded the $5,600 pot. Below is the hand history (Hellmuth had T-2, giving him two pair):

Doubleballer, his opponent who should have been given the pot, did not notice the mistake immediately, but when he did, he brought it to the attention of both Hellmuth and UltimateBet’s customer support staff. From what it looks like, based on table chat logs, it does not look like Hellmuth realized it, either, but when he did, he thanked Doubleballer for finding the mistake. Hellmuth did not, however, say anything about talking to management about it or express much in the way of concern, something that made poker fans on online message forums quite upset. UltimateBet has already been involved in a major cheating scandal, and now its big star was awarded a $5,600 pot unjustly. His apparent lack of concern stoked the flames for those who now saw this is another UltimateBet cheating discovery.

Doubleballer also noted on TwoPlusTwo.com that he had received a message just after the hand that he had been sitting out for three consecutive blinds. As he had not missed a hand and saw no evidence of a disconnection, he was very confused by this. Some people saw this as a possible link to what happened.

The site did give Doubleballer $5,600 rather quickly, as the mistake was rather obvious, and not long after, Tokwiro COO Paul Leggett, posted a message on UltimateBet’s blog, saying that they were aware of what happened and were trying to determine the cause of the problem.

Of course, online poker message boards, particularly the one at TwoPlusTwo.com blew up, with many immediately crying foul, saying that UltimateBet was cheating again, and now Phil Hellmuth was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Conspiracy theories put forth included:

* Phil Hellmuth has a different version of the software that gives him the ability not only have pots shipped to him whenever he wants, but also change his cards to best benefit him. In this case, he shipped himself the pot, but forgot to change his cards, thus making his cheating visible.
* Phil Hellmuth has a different version of the software that gives him administrative abilities. He was either goofing around with them and somehow caused the error or purposely disconnected Doubleballer so that the pot would go to the wrong person.
* A disgruntled UltimateBet employee put the cheating code into the software and activated it at a time where it would make the company and Hellmuth look as bad as possible.

Other people, while not defending UltimateBet and the Cereus network because of their recent history, were willing to take a more thoughtful approach to the situation, believing that the most reasonable explanation was probably a bizarre software glitch. Not many completely ruled out cheating, but went with the Occam’s Razor principle which states that, all things being equal, the simplest answer or solution is usually the best. Even though a glitch that would cause a losing hand to win the pot would be very unlikely, it is a simpler explanation than any number of cheating theories, especially when the cheating was so obvious.

Tuesday evening, Tokwiro Enterprises released a statement explaining what happened, and Leggett posted another blog entry to explain it further. According to the company, what happened was “…truly and honestly just a software malfunction,” and was “extremely improbable.”

The press release stated, “We have concluded that the malfunction occurred because the winning player disconnected from the table at the precise millisecond when the software was awarding the pot, in conjunction with the "player’s state" data being cleared from the memory cache.”

Somehow, even though there is code in place to prevent disconnections from creating incorrect payouts, it happened in this instance. Technicians at UltimateBet were able to recreate the problem by “…forcing a hand to disconnect its winning player at the precise millisecond the hand in question was awarding the pot and simultaneously flushing the "player’s state" data.”

Had the disconnection happened at any other time, a millisecond sooner or later, the error would have never occurred.

The company said that it has scoured hand histories and has not found any other instance of this error occurring, but will continue to go back further and further to be sure that it has never happened.

Somewhat comically, in correcting the problem, the company created another glitch which caused incorrect payouts in 36 hands. One of these hands, one in which a player who was not dealt cards was awarded the pot, was made public on TwoPlusTwo.

Another error which was brought to light during the hullaballoo was one in which a player in the early stages of a tournament found 700 chips missing from his chip stack when he had only lost a very small pot the hand before. Leggett said that this mystery was solved, as well, explaining that the player was simultaneously competing in a satellite for that same tournament. While unusual, this could happen if a satellite takes longer than expected, causing it to overlap with the tournament it is feeding into. The player won a seat in the satellite, causing the software to think he had just entered the main tournament. Therefore, his chip stack was suddenly reset to give him his original starting amount. Leggett said that this bug had also been corrected.

In responding to the incident, Phil Hellmuth said, “The only time in my life where I’ve had one pair beat three of a kind is when I made a big bluff in a poker tournament and now because of a software malfunction in online poker. I am one of the most watched players on the Internet, and all I can say is that it is pretty obvious that there was no malicious intent and even more obvious that UB handled this problem well. Sometimes these things happen on the Internet. The important thing here is that I continue to have a ton of trust in UB’s software and new management team.”

Whether people want to believe UltimateBet or not is up to them. Understandably, some people will not give the site any benefit of the doubt. The explanations do sound honest, though, so let’s hope that all the problems were really just glitches, even if these glitches are disappointing in their own right.

PartyGaming Founder Anurag Dikshit Pleads Guilty To Accepting Online Bets

According to reports, and following the lead of a number of online gambling executives over the past few years, former PartyGaming founder and director Anurag Dikshit, who holds a 27 percent stake in the company, has or will plead guilty for charges related to the accepting of online gambling wagers.

"PartyGaming Plc’s founder and former director, Anurag Dikshit, pleaded guilty to illegal Internet gambling and agreed to cooperate with the U.S. Justice Department in an investigation of the Web-based gaming company," a report in Bloomberg said.

Dikshit will also reportedly also hand over $300 million as well, $100 million of which has already been paid, according to the eGaming Review with another $100 million due in three months and the final $100 million due either on September 30, 2009 or on December 16, 2010.
Dikshit's plea is in stark contrast to former business partners and husband and wife couple, Russ DeLeon and Ruth Parasol, who don't seem so keen on settling with the United States' Department of Justice—DeLeon and Parasol each hold a 14 percent stake in the company.
The Financial Times reported that Dikshit appeared before a court in New York today and issued the following statement:

"Between 1999 and 2006 I was a major shareholder and director of PartyGaming, a company that offers casino and party games over the internet. I developed the software platform. I was aware that wagers transmitted by wire were being placed by PartyGaming customers in the U.S. and that a substantial number of PartyGaming customers were in the U.S. and Manhattan. I knew that it violated U.S. and state laws from 2005 to 2006. I came to believe there was a high probability that the company’s business was illegal under U.S. laws. I acknowledge my actions and have come to believe that what I did was wrong."

A circuit court judge for Franklin County, Ky., modified a seizure order today to allow online gambling companies 30 days to install software blocking Kentucky citizens from access to their sites.

Judge Thomas D. Wingate ruled this afternoon that defendants for the 141 online gambling domain names being sued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky for offering gambling services to citizens of the commonwealth must demonstrate within 30 days that they have blocked the Commonwealth of Kentucky from their sites, or the original seizure order will remain in effect.

Google has announced the beta launch of Google AdSense for Games yesterday. Comapany is now able to place ads within online games. Personally I don't like it much but if it will result in some great free games I might change my mind. But I dont think this will be the reult. For now the ads you can use are: images, texts and videos.

There is a limit for joining. The requirements are: minimum of 500,000 game plays and 80% of their traffic have to be from the U.S. or the U.K.

Russ Hamilton behind cheating scandal on UltimateBet.com

A gaming consulting firm has uncovered the man mainly responsible for the cheating scandal that costed players more than $6.1 million on UltimateBet.com (previously reported $60 million was mistsake). He’s a former World Series of Poker champion Russ Hamilton. This info was published by by IGamingNews, which references the commission’s interim report

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC), which licenses many of the online poker and gambling sites, hired former New Jersey Assistant Attorney General Frank Catania Sr.’s Catania Gaming Consultants to find out just who it was that perpetrated the cheating scam that used “superuser” accounts for 3.5 years to view opponents’ holecards. The firm named Hamilton, who won the WSOP main event in 1994. According to IGamingNews, he gained behind-the-scenes access as part of UltimateBet’s affiliate program team.

The scheme was uncovered by online players who noticed questionable play and began charting the suspicious players. Under pressure from these players, the KGC was forced to do a complete investigation, which is coming to a close. Other names of cheaters are expected to be released soon.

Ok, I know they beat us in unbelievable match where they managed to score 3 times during last 15 minutes and the totally turned the match to 3:2 for them but they showed the same skill in the match again Switzerland and than again unbelievably against Croatia when they received a goal in last minute of second overtime and they managed to tie. And in semi-final match against Germany they managed to tie again but than their weapon turned against them and one minute before the official end of the match they Lahm scored and Turkey goes home. It is a pity, after the streak they showed they should make it to the final.

Normally I play Texas Hold'em in No Limit in range from $0.05/$0.10 to $0.50/$1 depending on my mood and current bankroll situation. As I am joining to the tables sometimes it happens that I join Pot Limit. Obviously I don’t like this variant so after a few games I am leaving. But today it was different and on $0.05/$0.10 I managed to win $39.14 in only 20 minutes after great streak of aggressive poker and of course mercy cards coming. All started with great bluff with my quick calls to river of one guy because I sensed weakness. He checked on river and I bet 3/4 of pot. He folded. In next game guy from first position raised to 0.20 and I decided to call with 6c3c and flush came. I decided to check it to wait for cheap turn and depending on the card attack aggressively or fold but one guy raised pot. I believed I am the best on flop so I decided to raise pot maximally and had 2 callers. Turn didn't bring another club so I went all-in and again had 2 callers. I don’t know what they had but I won. Than I folded a few hands watching as guy massively re-raised with just a flush draw and lost. Next game I received 9sJs and because all 4 guys limped for $0.10 I decided to check on BB. 10sQs2h came giving me great straight, flush a straight flush draw. One guy bet half a pot other called so I decided to raise pot with the possibility to win here. But because it was low limit both guys called. 8d came giving me nice straight so I raised pot again and again had 2 callers. On river 7d appeared and I went all-in again having two caller and two mucked cards. After a few games AA to my hand on first position. I decided to raise a small $0.20, guy in next position re-raised me to $0.96, other guy called so I re-raised pot again having two callers. I don’t remember what appeared on flop but there were some middle cards and no flush draw but some possible straight draws but because I had a massive money lead I bet pot and all folded now. Then I had some minor bluffs wining because everyone was afraid to call me because every time somebody called he lost and mostly all his money because I play hard. Than 10c10d came to my hand and I bet a pot pre flop again. I had one caller with flop of small cards. I raised pot and had call. Turn came J but it couldn’t stop me so I bet pot again and had a call. River brought 7 and after my pot bet and a call I had another win. Than on BB I was allowed to go to game with K7 and on river I had flush but I didn’t win on this game much because I had no customers on my river pot bet. After a few hands A7 off-suit came to my hand in SB and I only called with all 5 players in game. AA3 came and I checked, again giving a chance to bet to somebody but every one checked. 10 came on turn and I bet pot with one caller, river brought 7 and I bet pot again and again won. Till now I didn't lost any major game and took all their money from around 7 players. I decided to continue till I will loose first major game and it came with lost with JcQd on river where jack was best again AJ. I lost around $3.55 so I decided to end after around 20 minutes of play with win $39.14. Amazing run! Only pity it wasn't on $0.50/$.:)

I don't work now so I have time to go in for my hobbies and one is poker. I like this game and I can spent a lot of time talking about it with my friends, watching videos, reading strategies and articles etc. So because I have time now I decided to start to play again with buyin 500 Kč. My strategy is to send the money to poker house and play no limit on $0,05/0,10. After achieving around 300 Kč I sending 600 Kč back on my bank account and the I have around 200 Kč of free money and I don't need to be scared loosing them. Today I had good day, ending on 60€ in total. I played nice tight aggressive poker on cash tables with some nice "bullet dodges" and readings. I was unlucky only a few times and not in important games. After a long lime I also played sit&go for 10 people with buyin 3 + 0.30€ and I managed to win it but I was very unlucky at the beginning. First game I won before flop and after around 12 other games which I didn't involve I found pocket jacks so I raised 5 times with 2 people calling. A82 came and we all checked. I bet 5x BB and I had one caller but I was sure my cards are better. Turn was another A and I pushed all-in because also flush draw came. I was called immediately and lost on flush on river. Ok, it is poker but I was after that game the lowest short stack on the table. So I waited for some better pocket cards decided to go all-in preflop. A9 came so I went all-in and AK + AQ called. I was very lucky in that game because I hit 9 and tippled. Next game AQ in spades came and I tripled again. In only two games I was huge big stack and I also eliminated 2 players in one game. Then I started to play aggressive style. When I didn't have cards all folded when I had 88 I flopped set. I had a great table image and game by game I managed one by one eliminate 5 players in row. When we were last 4 I had 10.000 chips from 15.000 possible and with blinds 150/300 I personally eliminated all other players and won the tournament.

Czech national team nightmare match!

It was a D-day for Czech national team yesterday. They should play against Turkey in match which will decide which team will go home and which one will make it from the group to play against Croatia. The match started great and after the first period the core was 1:0. Author of the goal was our giant "Dino" - Jan Koller. We were celebrating with my friends and because our play was great, we were totally sure we can make it. During the beginning of the second period Turkish players started run quicker, pass better and shoot more often but we managed to score for second time by our left wing Plašil. After this goal, it was sure win and I would bet everything on it but as the time continued our players started to worry about the lead and they were almost invisible in the match. Result was contact goal 15 minutes before the regular end of the match. Ok, it should be easy to defend it but it wasn't and after mistake of Peter Čech in 87th and total fail of our defense line especially Marek Jankulovski in 89th minute we were beaten. Even the red card for Volcan Demirell, Turkish goalkeeper didn't help us because there was no time to score. Let me say I saw two similar matches - one was final match of League of Champions between Liverpool and AC Milan where Liverpool won after they were loosing 0:2 and same it was on Euro 2004 where our national team managed to overturn match against Netherlands from same 0:2 but in any of those matches was so big difference between the play of one team in first and second period. In this match performed our team totally different play in first half but with what they showed in second they deserved to loose. And it wasn't only fault of our goalkeeper Peter Čech but whole team failed. It is a pity and the Championship is lost for us. It is a pity because it was last match for our trainer Karel Brückner. It is a pity because it was also last match for our best offense player Jan Koller and some other players. It is a pity but life doesn't ends after this lost match. And hopefully and statistically I will never see similar lost game by our national team. It is the only one good thing on it.

PC games are little cheaper but considering average salary which is around 23.000 Czk ($1438) it is really, really expensive. That it is possibble to sell games for lower price shows great offer on Steam where you can find 20 great Eidos games for $99.99. This pack includes some older classic games as are series Commandos, Hitman, Tomb Raider etc. but also some newer titles as are for example Battlestations: Midway, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men or Conflict: Denied Ops. Battlefield: Bad Company Xbox 360 demo tested

Today I read through some gaming sites and I found info that Xbox 360 demo version of Ninja Gaiden 2 is accessible through Xbox Live. I started up my console and wanted to download and test the demo but it was not downloadable from my location. Damn. Good thing was there was another nice demo - Battlefield: Bad Company. After a few minutes it was on my hard disk and I started to play. I was very curious how they managed to make totally destructible environment and I was surprised. The demo is awesome and Digital Illusions which is one of my favorite developers since 1992 and their Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies showed to the world that their games are worth to buy. I recommend to you all to download the demo and test it. Maybe we will meet on virtual battlefield.

Today I read on slashdot.org very interesting article:

"The Canadian government is secretly negotiating to join the US and the EU in an Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. The agreement would give border guards the power to search iPods and cellphones for illegal downloads, as well as to force ISPs to hand over customer information without a warrant. David Fewer, staff counsel at the University of Ottawa's Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic, characterizes ACTA this way: 'If Hollywood could order intellectual property laws for Christmas what would they look like? This is pretty close.'"

Ok, I agree it makes sense in some angle of view but will it really help? I think the only result will be that several internet services which give you the oportunity to save and store your data easily in crypted format will appear and before people approach the border everyone will erase their data on ipods, folders with movies and music on computers etc. After connection in hotel or somewhere else, they will easily download them back. Of course it will not be as simple as I described but definitely it migt look somehow like this. So if you want to settle new business maybe you should think about settling up this kind of service. In a few years a lot of people might desire to use it.

Personal meeting with Doug Lombardi

I thought it is lost but today I found it in one subfolder - a photo of me where I am posing with Doug Lombardi personally and magazine SCORE in Valve offices in Seattle when I was there to make one the world first reviews of Half-Life 2 back in 2004. Amazing trip, amazing game.

I spent 24 hour playing the game and I managed to end it. (I was limited only to those 24 hours.) After that I had to quickly write a review to - if I rember well - 16 pages. After doing it in around 6 hours I was totally dead and felt asleep totally exhausted. But it was wort to be there.

Trip to Panská Skála

Biggest basalt volcanic rock mountain in Czech republic - this is Panská Skála. We had there a short stop with my friend Soňa during one day trip to her cottage in Kerhartice. One the most famous Czech fairy tale Pyšná Princezna was partly filmed here. If you will ever go close around, you should visit this unique place.

Preparation for Euro 2008 CZE - LIT

I was lucky yesteraday. A few hours before the start of the football match between Czech republic and Lithuania I recieved two tickets so I called to my friend Aleš and we went there together. It wasn't super looking football but still there were some nice actions and two goals of our best shooter Jan Koller. Hopefully he will flash himself in the same way during Euro 2008. The match was played on new Eden stadium.

UPDATE: Funny thing happened. Before the beginning of the match instead of Lithuania anthem Latvia anthem was played. :)

During September 2007 me and my friend Jira visited special action called Pačoky. This action is traditional in one small village at Moravia and every year it is different. In basic it is a fancy ball in masks but every year there is a new main theme. In 2007 the theme was Duke is returning from Arabia so there was a lot of arabic costumes and of course a lot of slivovice drinking and eating.

Last Saturday I joined my friends Ales, Parik, Andy and two other guys and we tried to win tickets to Euro 2008 match Czech Republic versus Turkey in small football tournament held by T-mobile. Only four teams joined the tournament so it was was prety good chance to win those tickets but with the last punched ball during our training I broke my arm. During first match I stayed in in the gate but I knew we have a big problem. We won 4:0 but I had to leave the gate and go to play to the field. Next match with the later winner of the tournament ended 0:0 and the last match we lost 0:3 after exceptionable first goal. My hand was in pain so I decided to go to hospital after we ended and this is the result. Today I have my arm 8 days in splint and it should stay there for 2-5 weeks more depending on how quick it can regenerate.

The concert was nice but maybe too much professional with lack of emotions. When there woud be no pause in the middle of the concert the atmosphere might be better. Generally it was nice experience.

Champions League 2006/2007

After I saw the match between Chelsea and Manchester United in the final of Champions League 2007/2008 yesterday (Pity Chelsea lost and Čech doesn't have the title) I decided to contact my friend Honza to claim the photos from last years final in Athens. I was told that the photos are on Rajče, so I decided to download some best and publish them on my blog. I am very proud especially on those where I am touching original Champions Cup.

We won this trip with Honza in table football tournament for journalist and Vodafone employees during their media league and it was amazing experience. I am not sure if I will be able to see the final match of Champions League life again.

It was a great trip to Allianz arena in Munich with T-mobile. We came by bus so we had time to ajust our mood to highest level, so we were able to make noise during whole match. German fans were silent and only Czech were hear. After the very beginning it was 1:0 for us and this qualification match to Euro 2008 ended 3:0! Amazing trip, amazing match.
